Walk with Brontë Stones project originator Michael Stewart as he follows in the footsteps of the sisters. Linking the the Brontës’ birthplace in Thornton village with their home at the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth, this is the first chance to view the written responses of Carol Ann Duffy, Kate Bush, Jackie Kay, and Jeanette Winterson to the famous literary siblings – each piece specially commissioned by the festival and embedded in the stunning Yorkshire landscape.

This eight-mile route allows you to experience the wondrous, windy moors in the company of your favourite writers, past and present.

Please note that the route is challenging and includes narrow stiles, very uneven ground, hills, steps and slippery surfaces. Appropriate footwear is essential.
