Environmental campaigner Catherine Barr invites you and your family to join her on a journey into the frozen North, reading from ‘Elliot’s Arctic Surprise’, a picture story book developed in conversation with Greenpeace UK.

About The Author

Catherine Barr

Following a degree in ecology, and with a passion for environmental issues, Catherine worked for Greenpeace International for many years. She coordinated campaigns on endangered species, spending time in Asia and the Amazon with local Greenpeace teams. Catherine began writing children’s books after being unable to find the story of evolution for her primary-aged daughters.  She now writes picture books full time, hoping to inspire curiosity and conversation in younger children about the natural world.
