Carnegie Medal-winning author Ruta Sepetys talks about her fascination with hidden histories and some of the research she undertakes to create these. She introduces her novel The Fountains of Silence, discusses photography and poses a creative challenge for viewers.

Between Shades of Gray was adapted into the film Ashes in the Snow.
