Singing, stories and play aimed at children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Playtime will also include lots of opportunities to practice and use Makaton sign language.

All ages welcome.

You will need separate tickets for yourself and any children you are bringing, please make sure book for yourself and any children individually.

Kerry Cawley and Charlene Hamilton are Portage Home Visitors. They will be joining the Bradford Literature Festival on Wednesday 29th June 2022 at Centenary Square, Bradford.

Kerry and Charlene will be demonstrating different fun activities to do with children with additional needs under 5 that can promote early development. Charlene and Kerry will be singing songs, telling stories and other activities.

Kerry is a Makaton Ambassador Tutor and Charlene is a Makaton Signing for Babies and Families Trainer and so they both will be using lots of Makaton signing too!

They will be available for parents to ask any questions on their child’s development and to share ideas and their knowledge.
