Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, including squid!

In Wendy Meddour and Duncan Beedie’s giggle-inducing picture book, Stefano the squid sets out to discover what sets him apart from the rest of his underwater neighbours, in an attempt to capture the attention of Deep Sea TV. The unassuming squid soon finds out that even the most ordinary creatures are capable of extraordinary deeds.

Fans of aquatic shenanigans will be enchanted at this interactive storytelling session, which features everything from pufferfish to hammerhead sharks – but it’s the brave, somewhat wobbly squid at the heart of the tale that will win over readers’ hearts.

About The Authors

Duncan Beedie

Duncan Beedie has been drawing and doodling since childhood, sprawled out on his parent’s living room carpet with felt tip in fist. He now sits upright to draw from his studio in Bristol, where he lives with his wife, daughter and demanding springer spaniel.

Wendy Meddour

Wendy Meddour was brought up in the seaside town of Aberystwyth, but her love for books drew her away. After getting her doctorate, Wendy went to teach English Literature at Oxford University. But now she’s got the best of both worlds. She lectures, writes and reads her books at a university near the seaside in Devon.
