Andrew Westle

Andrew’s work defies neat boundaries to include research, socially engaged arts practice, performance, evaluation, writing, theatre making and public health. His work often questions the status quo, creating spaces for challenging conversations where ideas inspire dialogue, action and engagement.

His work is often based in queer and feminist methodologies, always looking to embed access and inclusion in all aspects of a project. The majority of his professional and artistic practice has been built on different forms of community led design and collaboration, employing either co-design methodologies or peer-lead approaches for building shared outcomes.

Andrew was an artistic associate for All The Queens Men and worked as a key creative on a range of projects, including the Coming Back Out Ball and the LGBTI Elders Dance Club. Originally from Australia, Andrew has a PhD from La Trobe University and studied a Masters of Fine Arts (Cultural Leadership) at National Institute of Dramatic Arts. He currently works as the National Project Manager for The Agency, run out of Battersea Arts Centre and Contact, he also runs one of the world’s top 10 dance podcasts Delving into Dance.
