This event is suitable for ages 16 +

Multi-award-winning photographer, Peter Sanders, began his career as a rock and roll photographer in London in the 1960s, photographing legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. After converting to Islam, he has now documented some of its most sacred places and met with Muslim scholars, Hindu swamis and Sufi saints.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small group and to receive direction from a master photographer on how to tell stories with pictures. Peter will bring his wealth of professional and personal experience and advise you on the best way to improve your art.

  • For the purposes of this event, Peter will primarily focus on architectural photography, but there will also be a series of short masterclasses that will cover other aspects such as editing and re-touching.
  • In the afternoon, participants will be given the opportunity to go out into the city and capture their own images of Bradford’s stunning architecture.
  • The class will reconvene to assess their images, at which point Peter will provide individual feedback and advice.

This class is suitable for all budding photographers, from the amateur to the more professional; everyone will benefit in some way. However, each participant should bring a digital camera and, if possible, a laptop.
