Martyn Watson
The author of Nancy, Martyn Watson is a first-time poet whose self-published collection was written after the death of Watson’ sister, Nancy, and Nancy’s partner, who both died by suicide. The poems explore grief, trauma and recovery, including the healing role of caring for horses. The book has sold 200 copies and raised over £5,000 for Suicide Prevention UK. Stephen Fry has filmed himself reading one of the poems, and Watson has appeared on Calendar TV and the White Fox podcast.
