Fatima Hassan

Fatima Hassan is one of Pakistan’s leading Urdu poets, widely admired for her lyrical style and her exploration of women’s lives, identity and social justice. Born in Karachi, she has published several acclaimed poetry collections, including Bahtay Huay Phool, Dastak Se Dar Tak Ka Fasla and Yaadein Bhi Ab Khwab Hain, as well as the short story collection Kahaniyan Gum Ho Jati Hain. Her poetry is especially noted for its feminist perspective and its engagement with the social and political realities of contemporary Pakistan.
