Daniel Balaz

Daniel Balaz is the founder and driving force behind Connecting Roma, a leading organisation supporting EU Roma communities in Bradford and beyond. A passionate advocate for inclusion, he works closely with statutory bodies to improve education, housing, and social care, and to strengthen community engagement. His work is recognised across the UK and Europe for its impact and vision.
Daniel also leads the organisation’s cultural department and proudly established England’s first Roma Cultural Centre. Through festivals, exhibitions, and international collaborations, the centre celebrates Roma heritage and creates space for dialogue and understanding. By welcoming Roma artists and cultural figures from around the world to Bradford, Daniel fosters cultural pride and helps connect communities through the power of art, music, and shared history.
