Gary Cavanagh

Gary Cavanagh was born in Clayton, Bradford and is founder member of Bradford’s 1 in 12 Club. He has worked as a former university tutor in history and politics and a local historian and archivist. Cavanagh has been involved in the local music scene since the 1970s and was instrumental in the production of the 1 in 12 compilation LP series. He was former vocalist with legendary local rock gods Phobia and is the author of three volumes called ‘Bradford’s Noise of the Valleys’, an extensive history of rock and pop music in the city.
