Bradford Literature Festival (BLF) has been nominated in the Yorkshire Choice Awards 2025 for the Community Arts Award.

The Community Arts Award recognises the creative visionaries and cultural influencers of Yorkshire, showcasing individuals and organisations that enrich our region through artistic endeavours.

Bradford Literature Festival 2024 welcomed over 155,900 audiences from 24 countries to 699 events, making its 10th year the most successful to date. Since its inception in 2014, BLF has grown to become one of the top literature festivals in the UK, with a commitment to support both emerging and established artists.
Four Family Fun Days at BLF 2024 provided Yorkshire families the chance to enjoy free live theatre, craft workshops, and storytelling, including a trail across the city, street performers and Stories Unlocked events in Waterstones where children’s authors brought their stories to life.
BLF 2024 worked with 34 community groups to deliver a total of 57 community events, including exhibitions, family theatre, poetry, dance, film and music. 36% of artists and 18% of audiences at BLF 2024 were from the local region.
Free tickets to BLF events were available to community groups that support marginalised and underrepresented communities in West Yorkshire, and 89% of BLF 2024 attendees accessed events for free.
