About the Author

Pauline Brown
Pauline Brown, one of seven sisters with a Swiss mum, discovered Yorkshire at Bradford University and now lives in Worth Valley with her three grown sons. A former support worker for homeless people, families in crisis, and the courts, she turns her love of community, kindness and local wildlife into children’s stories. Her Oscar’s Farm series Oscar’s Farm, The Accident, The Birth, and The Mystery, grew after friends loved her first tale, while Diego’s Team was inspired by her alpaca Diego and the values of International Mixed Ability Sport. An adventurer at heart, Pauline has parachuted, painted silk landscapes, swum outdoors, trekked 500 miles on the Camino, and helps run the Haworth/Machu Picchu Twinning, where she’s releasing Spanish editions of her books.
