Description
This special muzakara offers a rare opportunity to hear acclaimed Indian Urdu poet Manzar Bhopali in conversation exploring how poetry is written, shaped and brought into language, alongside the ideas, influences and creative process behind his work.
Moving between discussion and spontaneous recitation, Bhopali will reflect on the craft of Urdu poetry, the making of verses and the literary traditions that continue to inform his work, sharing poetry and moments of tarannum as the conversation unfolds.
Warm, reflective and deeply rooted in the culture of Urdu poetry, this event offers an intimate alternative to the formal setting of the mushaira.
Please note this event is in Urdu.
