Dr Miguel Toribio-Mateas
Miguel Toribio-Mateas is a clinical neuroscientist, applied microbiologist, and nutritionist with over 25 years of experience spanning healthcare, academic research, and industry. Toribio-Mateas’ work focuses on the microbiota–gut–brain axis, with particular emphasis on how diet and lifestyle influence mood, cognition, and behaviour, and on translating this evidence into practice for healthcare professionals. He has led and contributed to transdisciplinary research, including feasibility studies and clinical trials, and is currently part of a multi-centre research group investigating natural approaches to the management of ADHD-related outcomes. He holds an Honorary Research Fellowship at Cardiff University’s School of Psychology and is also a Third Sector Research Fellow at the Social Science Research Park (SPARK), Cardiff University.
