About the Speaker

Stuart Gillespie
Dr Stuart Gillespie is a non-resident senior fellow with the International Food Policy Research Institute and an honorary associate with the Institute of Development Studies. He has over four decades of experience in food, nutrition and development since his first position as nutrition coordinator in a rural development project in southern India. During this time, he has led a range of food and nutrition policy research programmes and worked with many international agencies. He has around 200 publications including 10 books. He writes regularly on Substack on the political and commercial drivers of food injustice and what can and should be done to address them.
