Screening: A Separation

Description

Simin wants to leave Iran with her husband, Nader, and their daughter to build a better life abroad. Nader refuses to go, unwilling to leave behind his elderly father who has Alzheimer’s disease. When Simin moves out and Nader hires a caregiver, a small incident sets in motion a chain of events that draws two families into conflict, forcing everyone, including the audience, to weigh truth, duty and moral responsibility against one another.
