Tom Kerss

Tom Kerss is an astronomer and the author of numerous best-selling books about the night sky for both adults and children. Having once been based at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, and with a background in astrophysics and spacecraft engineering, he now shares his passion for the stars with people all over the world. He is a renowned astronomy and space expert with frequent appearances across international media, and a consultant for projects in both the arts and sciences. Kerss is a seasoned astrotourism professional, working as an aurora-chaser and eclipse-chaser. He has spent extensive time in the Arctic, witnessing thousands of Northern Lights displays, and travelled to far-flung places in search of the darkest skies on Earth, documenting eclipses and teaching astrophotography in countries such as the Maldives, Namibia, Chile and Guatemala.
