Simon Elliot, author of Hockney: A Graphic Life, will take us on an illustrated journey, sharing his own characterful, joyous and colourful illustrations, all designed on an iPad, paying homage to Hockney’s iPad work.
Through these captivating illustrations, Simon will unveil the extraordinary life and artistic legacy of David Hockney, offering a biography unlike any other, bursting with colour and charm.

About the Artist
Simon Elliot
Simon Elliott is a criminal barrister, art obsessive and standup comedian. Inspired by Hockney’s message ‘spring cannot be cancelled’, and with time to fill (thanks to Covid), Simon engrossed himself in all things Hockney, learned how to paint on an iPad and began a journey to create a colourful, joyous and thought-provoking Hockney biography with a twist. He is currently working on Vincent, his next graphic biography which follows the turbulent life of artist Vincent Van Gogh.

Peg Alexander is a Leeds-based, award-winning broadcaster, presenter and journalist working across television, radio, podcasts and live events. A former politician, public policy professional and charity CEO, she is an expert in people-powered change and currently leads a non-profit network supporting people in debt. Her first book, a travel-inspired memoir, is forthcoming.
