About the Author
Charlotte Bradman
Charlotte Bradman is a working-class writer, artist, poet and occasional singer from Keighley, West Yorkshire. She has a BA Hons in Fine Art from Bradford College, is a keen advocate of outdoor swimming and lives in a campervan. After a volatile and turbulent childhood and young adulthood complicated further by booze and drugs, Charlotte eventually found solace in mindfulness, long distance hiking, and throwing herself frequently into freezing cold water. Her debut book, The Happy Nomad, is both a memoir and a manifesto, urgently questioning the status quo of the world we live in, re-framing trauma, and looking in-depth at our relationship with material things.
About the Chair
Peg Alexander
Peg Alexander is a Leeds-based, award-winning broadcaster, presenter and journalist working across television, radio, podcasts and live events. A former politician, public policy professional and charity CEO, she is an expert in people-powered change and currently leads a non-profit network supporting people in debt. Her first book, a travel-inspired memoir, is forthcoming.
