Mushaira: An Evening of Urdu Poetry

Description

For generations, the mushaira has occupied a cherished place in the cultural life of the subcontinent, an evening where poetry, language and conversation come together in celebration of the enduring beauty of Urdu.

Rooted in centuries of literary tradition, the mushaira continues to offer a unique space for reflection, creativity and shared experience. We are delighted to once again present our annual Urdu mushaira in partnership with the Yorkshire Adabee Forum.

Join us for an evening of rich and evocative poetry from acclaimed international Urdu poets, accompanied by a three-course Pakistani buffet and a special live musical performance by celebrated Pakistani singer Sana Nemat.

This event is not suitable for very young children or babes in arms, who will not be admitted. Please book a ticket for every member of your party. Please note this event is in Urdu. Due to the nature of this event, no discounts or concessions apply.
