Description
Ousama Iyad Alshurafa draws on his book, The Afterlife Manual, to explore one of Islam’s most transformative ideas: that the world we perceive is not the world that truly governs our lives.
Weaving together the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the insights of classical scholars, he explains how space and time function as a kind of divine ‘display’, while the real source of all benefit and harm rests with Allah alone. Through vivid, everyday examples, he shows how detaching the heart from worldly things, trusting Allah over our own senses, and meeting each moment as a test can turn ordinary actions into lasting light for the hereafter.
Equal parts metaphysical and practical, the talk offers a clear roadmap for living with presence, certainty, and true submission.
